Lending Policy:
Films are loaned to educators, students and civic/educational groups free of charge. Films may be borrowed one or two titles at a time, for no more than one week (seven days including weekends). The charge for films returned late is fifty cents per day, not including weekends (and all funds collected as overdue fines are used to purchase new videos). For course preparation, research, and classroom instruction, educators may borrow up to three films for a period of no more than two weeks. Films are loaned on the basis of availability. Reservations are accepted from educators for classroom instruction only, and requests should be submitted at least two weeks in advance. Additionally, Ohio State faculty members and instructional staff may place films and tapes on reserve for student use by arrangement with the Center. The timely return of films and tapes is the responsibility of the borrower. Failure to return items promptly may result in the suspension of library privileges.

Film Library Hours:
Patrons may visit the CSEES Film and Videotape Library at the Slavic Center's office at 303 Oxley Hall, 1712 Neil Avenue, on the main campus of Ohio State University. The film library is open weekdays year-round, except university and national holidays. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.

Mail Order:
Educators and civic\educational groups may order films by mail. The terms and conditions for borrowing films by mail are the same as those listed above. CSEES will pay the cost of US Postal Service first class shipping and insurance. Please allow one week for shipping. Return shipping and handling is the responsibility of the borrower. When returning films and tapes by mail, each videotape cassette should be insured for the value of $100 or $150 for two cassettes. Mail order requests should be directed to Ms. Maryann Walther-Keisel, by phone: (614) 292-8770; fax: (614) 292-4273; or e-mail: walther-keisel.1@osu.edu.

Lost or Damaged Films:
The cost of replacement or repair of films and videotapes lost or damaged is the sole responsibility of the borrower. CSEES will bill individuals and groups for the cost of repairing damaged films or for the entire replacement cost for lost films.
