Global Hot Spots — The OSU Area Studies Centers and the Office of International Affairs invite P-12 Social Studies teachers to participate in a five-session workshop on international events and issues currently in the news. The workshop series takes place in February and March, involving 15 hours of contact time and 1 CEU of credit. Topics have included: the Argentine Economic Crisis, Bosnia and Kosovo, State and Society in China, Afghanistan, and Somalia.
Russian: Teaching for Proficiency — Teachers of Russian are invited to a workshop conducted by a national expert, who shows how to develop and test proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Russian.
