Add to Calendar 2022-11-15 18:00:00 2022-11-15 19:30:00 2022 Ohio Undergraduate REEE Research Forum Register to attend The Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies at The Ohio State University is pleased to announce the 2022 Ohio Undergraduate Russian, East European, and Eurasian Research Forum. This year the forum will take place on Tuesday, November 15 and will be held in a virtual format. The research forum will highlight the work of upper-level undergraduate students from Ohio who are conducting guided research on any topic in any discipline related to the Eastern European and Eurasian regions. Participating students will present their research in a 5-minute, pre-recorded visual presentation. This year's presentations include:  "Migrant Deterrence in E.U & U.S. Immigration Policy: A Case Study on the Ukrainian Refugee Crisis" by Alex Grosman (Ohio State U.) "Disability Non-Governmental Support in Eastern Europe" by Isabella Nyiri (Bowling Green State U.) "Post-Soviet Gay Pornography and The Fall of the USSR" by Dominic Wong (Oberlin College) 2022 Ohio Undergraduate REEE Research Forum Judges Dr. Venelin Ganev (Miami U.) Dr. Mary Erdmans (Case Western Reserve U.) During the forum each student’s presentation will be played, then the two judges will ask each student a question about their research. At the end while the judges briefly leave to confer, there will be time for the audience to talk and ask questions about the presentations. Faculty, family members, fellow students, and members of the public are invited to attend this year's research forum.
