Summer 2018 Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship Recipients

CSEES would like to congratulate the following students for winning FLAS Fellowships for summer 2018:

Kyle Erickson, Russian and international studies major: to study advanced Russian in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan through Arizona State University’s program.  

Andrew Fredericks, Center for Slavic and East European Studies: to study intermediate Russian at the Summer Language Workshop at Indiana University.

Steven Kenworthy, Center for Slavic and East European Studies and Glenn College graduate student: to study intermediate Russian at the Summer Language Workshop at Indiana University.

Michelle McKenzie, Russian and linguistics major: to study advanced Russian at Saint Petersburg State University.

Barbara Roth, political science graduate student: to study advanced Bosnian-Serbian-Croatian at the Azbukum Centre in Belgrade, Serbia.

Pietro Shakarian, history graduate student: to study intermediate Armenian in Yerevan, Armenia at ARMACAD.

Rebecca Slavik, Russian and international studies major: to study advanced Russian through the School of Russian and Asian Studies’ program in Saint Petersburg, Russia.

Bridget Stonchus, Center for Slavic and East European Studies graduate student: to study advanced Russian through the School of Russian and Asian Studies in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
