"Arts, Humanities, and the Russian Revolution" A Panel Discussion

On November 7, CSEES will host a roundtable discussion to commemorate the centennial of the 1917 October Revolution. The panel will host experts that will discuss changes that occurred in the arts and humanities in Russia immediately following the Revolution until the mid-to-late 1920s. Alisa Ballard (Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures), Maria Ignatieva (Department of Theatre), and Mark Svede (Department of Art History) will serve as panelists and discuss the changes that developed in literature, theatre, and art, respectively.  Alexander Burry (DSEELC) will act as the discussant for the event.
