Polish Studies Initiative Launches Buckeye Funder Campaign

Wawel Castle in Krakow, Poland

Established in 2012, the Polish Studies Initiative (PSI) is housed under the umbrella of the Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (CSEEES) with sponsorship from partners across The Ohio State University (OSU), including the College of Social Work, CONSIRT, the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures, the Department of Political Science, the Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and the Office of International Affairs. The mission of this donation-based initiative is to advance the interdisciplinary study of Poland, support student and faculty research and study abroad and organize events focused on Poland.

Since its founding year, PSI has supported over 50 grant and scholarship recipients from across 50+ departments and units at Ohio State. To keep supporting our community of Polish Studies students and scholars at Ohio State we need your help! The funds raised will help our annual grant and scholarship competitions that will finance domestic and international study abroad, facilitate internships, and research travel for Ohio State students, faculty, and postdocs!

Our goal for 2024 is to raise $2,500 which will support both a full grant and scholarship recipient. The Buckeye Funder campaign will close on Sunday, May 5 so please donate and spread the word before it's too late!

If you have any questions about the campaign or about PSI in general, please contact Alicia Baca.
