Academic Year 2025-26 FLAS Fellow
AJ is an undergraduate student majoring in History and Russian Language. The focus of his research has primarily concentrated on Soviet economics, international economic organizations such as the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance, and technological projects such as the All-State Automated System.
His undergraduate thesis is on successive attempts to fix the Soviet economy during the periods of 1957–1975 and traces how attempts at economic reform failed and gave way to ambitious and sometimes reckless focus on technology.
After he graduates, he hopes to continue his studies in a graduate history program.
