All Day
Pfahl Hall 302, Blackwell Hotel and Conference Center

This year marks the 22nd Annual Kenneth E. Naylor Memorial Lecture. This year's lecture, entitled "Greek Dialect Features in the Speech of Greek Canadians: An Unexpected Treasure Trove" will be given by Dr. Panayiotis Pappas of Simon Fraser University. His lecture will focus on dialectal features and show how the patterns found in the speech of Greek Canadians can help us understand them in ways that are not possible in Greece due to the negative evaluative force associated with them. The lecture will take place at the Blackwell Inn and Conference Center and will be followed by a reception.

The Kenneth E. Naylor Memorial Lecture is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures. This year’s Kenneth E. Naylor Memorial Lecture is being held as part of the annual Midwest Slavic Conference, organized and sponsored by the Center for Slavic and East European Studies of The Ohio State University in conjunction with the Midwest Slavic Association.
