Marshall Center). Major Hascher will discuss how his MA degree in Slavic and East European Studies has helped him in his current career. He will also discuss the Rules Based International Order and will also comment the on civilians he has met in his travels who have similar expertise and have found career paths without being enlisted in the branches of the military. About the Speaker: Ohio. He received his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps at Bowling Green State University. He received a Regular Army Commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Transportation Corps in 2007.He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University in 2007. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Slavic and Eastern European Studies from The Ohio State University, awarded in 2019. His Military Schooling includes Airborne, Transportation Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, the Command and General Staff College, and the Joint Military Attaché School. Major Hascher has served in a variety of command and staff positions in the United States of America, Europe, and Africa, with combat deployments in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Major Hascher most recently served as the Army Attaché to Cote d’Ivoire.Awards and decorations that he has received include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, Army Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two bronze campaign stars, Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze campaign stars, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and NATO International Security Assistance Force Medal, and the Army Parachutist Badge.
