This teacher training workshop will be led by Dr. Andrea Lanoux (Connecticut College) and will focus on feminist movements in Central and Eastern Europe. The goal of this workshop is for teachers to learn about the history and accomplishments of feminist movements before and after the collapse of the USSR, and how feminist movements of the West have impacted their Central and East European counterparts so that teachers can leave with a better understanding of such movements that are not centered in the western world. By attending this workshop, participants will receive historical background and resources on this topic so that they can teach and discuss this subject with their students in their own classrooms.

Participants will receive:

  • $100 stipend for attending*
  • Opportunity to receive $100 for completing a lesson plan by July 31, 2021
  • Certificate for 2.5 contact hours
  • Free curriculum resources

*Participants will be required to attend one of the presentation screening dates and the live Q&A session in order to receive the first $100 stipend.
