Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. Mershon Center for International Security Studies

The Center for Slavic and East European Studies (CSEES) invites you to attend a lecture by Dr. Patrice McMahon (University of Nebraska-Lincoln) as part of the Director's Speaker Series at the Mershon Center for International Security Studies.  The lecture will consider how liberal peace building may help reconstruct and restructure post-conflict countries, but how it can also impede the natural development of post-conflict societies, particularly the NGO sector. Focusing specifically on the Balkans, McMahon's talk will explain the contradictory and often negative role played by the international community in supporting NGOs in peacebuilding environments.

Co-sponsored by CSEES and the Mershon Center for International Security Studies.
