Midwest Slavic Conference Keynote Address
Tara Zahra (University of Chicago) will deliver the keynote address at the 2018 Midwest Slavic Conference. The talk will be based on her latest book "The Great Departure: Mass Migration from Eastern Europe and the Making of the Free World," which explores the history of Eastern European migration to North America between 1846 and 1940 and the political responses to the movement, as well as the personal experiences of migrants.
