Academic Year 2026-27 Polish Studies Initiative Scholarship Competition Now Open
The Polish Studies Initiative (PSI) of the Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies is pleased to announce the opening of its first scholarship competition for the academic year. The new 2026-27 PSI Scholarship Competition will support Ohio State undergraduate and graduate students continuing their second- or third-year Polish language study during the upcoming academic year. Awards of up to $1,000 will recognize students' commitment to Polish language learning, cultural engagement, and involvement in the Polish community.
Students who have completed first- or second-year Polish coursework and plan to continue their studies in 2026-27 are encouraged to apply. Scholarship recipients will be expected to participate regularly in the Polish Conversation Table, attend PSI/CSEEES or Polish Club events, and contribute an end-of-year article for the CSEEES website.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time at Ohio State and maintain strong academic standing. Because federal guidelines prohibit students from receiving financial aid in excess of the annual cost of attendance, additional funding may affect eligibility. Prospective applicants are encouraged to review the PSI Scholarship Info Sheet and Application Preview before beginning the online form.
All application materials must be submitted by Friday, July 10, 2026.
