CSEEES 2025-26 FLAS Competition Now Open

The Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies at The Ohio State University is seeking applications for the Summer 2025 and Academic Year 2025-26 Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Fellowship competition under the U.S. Department of Education’s Title VI Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship program. Applications are being accepted from undergraduate, graduate, and professional students who are pursuing a course of study requiring advanced foreign language and area studies training. Eligible languages taught at Ohio State include Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Modern Turkish, and Uzbek, however, subject to approval, fellowships may be used for study at other U.S. institutions, to study abroad, or for other languages.

Recommenders, please take note that the recommendation form has been simplified this year. Applicants will now send you the fully completed form, which you will forward along with your letter of recommendation to Emma Pratt at pratt.124@osu.edu.
