CSEES announces the publication of Seasoned Socialism: Gender and Food in Late Soviet Everyday Life (Indiana University Press), edited by our director Angela Brintlinger, with Anastasia Lakhtikova and Irina Glushchenko. Brintlinger recently spoke with Jennifer Eremeeva for a New Books Network podcast about how the book’s collected essays delve into the understudied topic of Soviet food culture, weaving together interdisciplinary perspectives on gender, food, and culture in the post-1960s Soviet Union.
