In Summer 2018 Semester, CSEES MA student Brenden Wood travelled to Kazakhstan for eight weeks on a FLAS Fellowship to study intensive, advanced Russian. In CSEES' latest blog post, Brenden shares his thoughts on why he chose to study in Kazakhstan and his impressions on the usage of the Russian language in Kazakhstan today.
