The Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (CSEEES) is pleased to share that Dr. Sunnie Rucker‑Chang has received a Departmental Research Grant from the ASC Honors Committee to expand scholarship support for Ohio State student participation in the Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (REEES) Undergraduate Think Tank.

This award will fund scholarships for Ohio State undergraduates selected to join the national REEES Think Tank cohort. The program is cultivating a new generation of specialists in the field by supporting innovative career pathways, research development, and meaningful relationship‑building across institutions. It also strengthens a nationwide network of university centers, faculty mentors, and undergraduate students, particularly those who are underrepresented or underserved in the field.

Ohio State’s investment builds on the external support Dr. Rucker‑Chang has consistently secured to sustain this initiative, ensuring that our students can fully participate in the growing national infrastructure and collaborative cohorts forming across the country.
