Job Opening: Russian Language Instructor for Columbus International High School (Position Filled)

Teaching Russian Language and Culture at Columbus North International School

Update: As of January 2024, this position has been filled.

CSEEES is seeking a new instructor for its Russian language courses taught at Columbus International High School (CIHS). Since August 2011 CSEEES has collaborated with CIHS in offering Russian language instruction to its students as part of our mission as a designated Department of Education Title VI National Resource Center (NRC). Introductory Russian language courses are offered, taught by an instructor with an M.A. degree or equivalent teaching experience. This is a 25% FTE position (10 hours per week) with the instructor teaching fifty-minute classes five days a week during the regular Columbus School District academic calendar plus any needed lesson planning and/or grading. Students learn elementary Russian and engage in other activities relating to the use of Russian language such as language lab activities, watching Russian-language films, researching Russia-focused projects, etc.

The instructor will commence as soon as possible, ideally at the beginning of the winter term (January 3, 2024), and continue through the end of May 2024.
