New Dual Degree Program Now Accepting Applications

Students at library

The Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies has partnered with the Center for Bioethics in the College of Medicine to a launch a new dual degree program in Slavic, East European and Eurasian studies and bioethics. Applications are now being accepted from current and prospective graduate students. Students can complete the degree in six semesters of full-time study. By combining the two degree programs, students will graduate with strong East European/Eurasian language skills, have a deep knowledge of the East European/Eurasian regions, and be able to apply ethical frameworks to complex topics. Students will complete directed readings and a capstone course that will form the basis of a thesis that combines materials, coursework, and advising faculty from both bioethics and Slavic, East European, and Eurasian studies.

The application deadline for prospective graduate students to CSEEES is December 31, 2021. Applications from current graduate students are accepted on a rolling basis.
