Brintlinger is Professor of Russian Literature at The Ohio State University where she directs the Title VI-funded National Resource Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies and chairs the Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures. Her expertise includes the literary work of specific authors and periods, but she also has thematic interests in biography, the representation of mental illness in fiction, the representation of war in fiction and film, and food and food history. Her newest book is Why We (Still) Need Russian Literature (Bloomsbury, 2024).*Traditional Russian cuisine will be served.
