Congratulations, Nick Seay!

The Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (CSEEES) would like to congratulate former FLAS fellow Nick Seay (PhD candidate in the Department of History) who was the co-winner of the Graduate Student Paper Award at the Central Eurasian Studies Society (CESS) 2023 Annual Conference at the University of Pittsburgh. Nick's paper title was "By Tractor and Plane: Pesticides and Chemical Fertilizers in the Valleys of Soviet Tajikistan." As one of this year's winners, Nick will be awarded $500 and offered the opportunity to publish his paper in the Central Asian Survey.
