CSEEES Awarded Global Arts + Humanities Professional Development Grant
CSEEES is pleased to announce that we have been selected for a Graduate Professional Development Grant from the Global Arts + Humanities Cross-Disciplinary Research Exchange for autumn semester 2026. These graduate professional development positions aim to embed graduate students in humanities and arts programs in university entities involved in cross-disciplinary research to facilitate the student’s professional development and establish a mentoring framework that will guide the student’s engagement, illustrate best practices and thresholds for achievement.
The student working with CSEEES will support the Center’s mission as a resource center and administrative unit of the university. Specific duties will include: designing an online resource for the Center; researching and hosting guest speakers; writing articles for the website on events, faculty research highlights, and student and community engagement; fostering connections with alumni and networking with SEEES professionals; and assisting with communications. The student will take an active role in CSEEES outreach activities, presenting their area of expertise in partner schools and organizations.
The CSEEES team will form a mentoring network of both faculty and staff so that the student becomes better informed about the diversity of career opportunities within higher education. The student’s work on the monthly CSEEES jobs list will help to further identify positions of interest and the needed skills, further cementing the professional development aspect of the position.
Keep an eye on CSEEES communications to find out when applications for the position open, and follow along to see the student's work next semester.
