Polish Studies Initiative Launches Fourth Annual Buckeye Funder Campaign
Established in 2012, PSI is a dynamic, interdisciplinary program housed within the Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (CSEEES). It thrives through collaboration with departments across Ohio State, including Social Work, Political Science, Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures, Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies and the Office of International Affairs. PSI’s mission is to promote the study of Poland through research, education and public engagement.
Each year, PSI brings Poland’s rich cultural heritage to life through lectures, film screenings and cultural events that showcase emerging research on Polish-related topics. Beyond programming, PSI has proudly supported over 65 grant and scholarship recipients from more than 50 departments and units across Ohio State.
To continue uplifting our community of Polish Studies students and scholars, we need your support! Funds raised through this campaign will sustain scholarships, grants, research opportunities, language study, cultural programming and educational events that advance Polish Studies at Ohio State and connect students, scholars and the broader community with Poland’s rich cultural, linguistic, political and historical heritage.
Your support helps preserve and promote Poland’s rich cultural heritage for future generations. By donating, you’re not only funding travel, research or events, you’re investing in transformative experiences that shape future scholars, global citizens and leaders in our field. Every gift helps expand access to international learning, research and cultural exchange.
Our goal for 2026 is to raise a total of $4,500, The Buckeye Funder campaign will close on Friday, December 18 at 11:59 PM EST so please donate and spread the word before it's too late!
