CSEEES Concludes Successful Buckeye Funder Campaign

At the end of August, CSEEES wrapped up its Buckeye Funder campaign to attract 60 donations in 60 days to celebrate 60 years of Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies at The Ohio State University. This goal was not just met but exceeded with 90 donations from 78 unique donors. These gifts raised a total of $11,342 that CSEEES can use to support students and programming in the future.
These donors came from 30 U.S. states and territories, showing the reach of our community. Donors included current students, staff and faculty, alumni of the MA and Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowship programs, colleagues from other institutions, and friends and family. With their donations, many left touching tributes to mentors and colleagues, and fondly remembered their time at Ohio State.
One contributor wrote: "I cherish my time with the CSEEES and am deeply grateful for the faculty, staff, and my fellow students!"
Another shared "The FLAS Fellowship opened doors for me during my undergraduate years that I wouldn’t have been able to access otherwise."
You can read more of these lovely words on the donor wall on the archived BuckeyeFunder site.
Thanks to all the donors for their support and generosity!
If you had planned to donate to the campaign and it slipped your mind, don't worry! Donations are gratefully accepted at any time through Ohio State's online giving site (Fund number 313858).
