CSEEES Director Angela Brintlinger and Affiliates Dorothy Noyes and Jennifer Mitzen Visit the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Belgrade
The Ohio State University delegation consisting of the director of the Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies, Angela Brintlinger, director of the Mershon Center for International Security Studies, Dorothy Noyes, and professor of political science Jennifer Mitzen visited the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Belgrade.
They began their visit with a meeting with the dean, Dragan R. Simić, and members of the Serbian Educational Alliance project team, which includes Filip Ejdus, Aleksandra Krstić, Stevan Nedeljković, Milan Krstić, Marko Dašić, Nikola Jović and Dragan Živojinović.
In a long and cordial conversation, there was talk of the cooperation so far within the Serbian Educational Alliance project as well as possibilities for strengthening and expanding cooperation in the future.
Professors Brintlinger, Noyes and Mitzen are in Serbia to participate in the "Serious Games and World Politics" seminar which will be held in Mokra Gora in the Zlatibor mountains of Southwest Serbia. They will be joined by two more Ohio State faculty members and seven PhD students from the Political Science and English Departments, as well as a delegation from the University of Belgrade consisting of five faculty members, eight graduate students, and two student journalists who will document the event.
The visit and the seminar are part of the Serbian Educational Alliance project, jointly implemented by the Center for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies at The Ohio State University and the Center for United States Studies at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, with the support of the U.S. State Department and the Embassy of the United States of America in the Republic of Serbia. The summer seminar was co-funded by the College of Arts and Sciences and the Mershon Center for International Security Studies at The Ohio State University.
