CSEEES Director Dr. Angela Brintlinger Named Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professor
The Center for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CSEEES) is delighted to congratulate our director, Dr. Angela Brintlinger, on being named an Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professor, one of the college’s highest honors recognizing extraordinary contributions to research, teaching, and service. A renowned scholar of Russian literature from the 18th century to the present, Brintlinger has built an international reputation through her prolific publications, invited lectures across Europe and the United States, and recognition from institutions such as the Academy of Russian Literature and the Fulbright Program.
Her impact at Ohio State has been equally significant: she is a dedicated and highly regarded teacher, a generous mentor, and a leader whose service has shaped departmental governance, university committees, and the broader field of Slavic studies. Brintlinger’s commitment to public engagement—through lectures, book groups, and educational initiatives—further reflects the breadth of her influence. CSEEES is proud to celebrate this well‑deserved honor and to recognize her exceptional leadership and scholarship.
Congratulations, Dr. Brintlinger!
