Students, are you planning to attend the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) conference this fall (November 20-23) in Washington, D.C.? CSEEES can offer ONE conference registration waiver for an Ohio State student who is planning to attend the conference. Receiving this waiver is not an indication of further financial support for conference attendance from CSEEES or any other units at Ohio State, but will help defray the cost of attendance. 

Those who wish to apply must be:

• Enrolled at Ohio State for autumn semester, 2025
• Active in the CSEEES community
• Attending ASEEES 2025 and willing/able to create a profile on the ASEEES website (if you do not already have one)

To apply:

• Email your CV and a brief paragraph describing your planned involvement in the conference (attendee vs. presenter, networking opportunities, panels you want to attend, etc.) and the career benefit you will receive from conference to Emma Pratt (pratt.124@osu.edu) by 11:59 PM on Monday, August 11, 2025. 

Applications will be evaluated based on:

• Career benefit of attending the conference
• How active you are in the CSEEES community
• Level of conference participation 

Applicants will be notified of their status on August 14, 2025 so that those not chosen can still take advantage of the early bird registration discount, which ends August 15.
