Five New Students Join CSEES MA Program

Five students

On Friday, August 21, CSEES will welcome five new students to its MA in Slavic and East European Studies, as well as three returning students, for orientation. Joe Ernst, Rachel Hutchison, Philip Kopatz, Kelila Thomsen, and William Zadeskey will start classes next week as our new cohort. Joe completed double majors at Ohio State in human resources and Russian. Philip graduated from Walsh University in Canton, Ohio, having studied history and psychology. Rachel joins CSEES from OSU, where she completed a BS in neuroscience and a BA in Russian, with a minor in history. Kelila received a BS in anthropological science with minors in Russian and forensic science. Will also received a BA from OSU majoring in Russian and international studies with a focus on security and intelligence. Elizabeth Davidson, Brandon Harvey, and Maxwell Parker will continue their studies this year. Brandon is pursuing a dual degree with the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. All three returning students intend to graduate during the 2020-21 academic year.
