This week Masha Kisel, a lecturer at the University of Dayton, published an interview with award-winning filmmaker Eric Bednarski in Columbus, Cleveland and Dayton Jewish news outlets. Bednarski’s Warsaw: A City Divided will be presented in a screening organized by the Slavic Center and the Wexner Center for the Arts on October 18 at 1 pm. In the interview, Kisel discusses the filmmaker’s heritage and how newly discovered amateur film footage and interviews with survivors and descendants used in his film present a different perspective and help keep the memory of the ghetto alive.
