More about Ohio State Day of Giving

What is the Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is an inspiring event for Ohio State’s alumni, students and friends to come together and support current and future generations of Buckeyes. Join us on Tuesday, April 14, and make an impact.

Why should I participate in Day of Giving?

Day of Giving is the perfect opportunity to join fellow alumni, family and friends in supporting Ohio State. With extra challenge dollars offered this year, your gift can be maximized, helping ensure even more support is unlocked for students, faculty and programs poised to make a difference.

Can I make a monthly gift?

Yes. Monthly giving is an easy, automatic way to support The Ohio State University. It is convenient, customizable and environmentally friendly, and it helps ensure a steady source of funding for Ohio State.

You can set up your monthly gift by credit card now, or the next time you make an online donation, choose “MONTHLY” from the “Frequency” section of our gift form. If you have further questions, please contact the Giving team.

Can I make multiple gifts?

A donor is counted once, regardless of how many gifts or transactions are made. You may give to multiple funds and be included in matches/challenges for each of those individual funds. However, making multiple gifts to the same fund still counts as one donor for overall donor totals.

Do you accept matching gifts?

Yes. Search the database to find out if your employer has a matching gift program.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes. Gifts are 100 percent tax deductible. After you make your gift, you will receive a confirmation email that can be used for tax purposes.

Who should I contact with questions about my contribution?

For questions about your gift, please contact us at 614-292-2281 or email giving@osu.edu.
