CSEES and the Polish Studies Initiative are pleased to announce two sources of funding for faculty and students.
The 2015-16 FLAS Fellowship Competition is now open. The fellowship is open to undergraduate, graduate and professional students who propose to study the Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Turkish or Uzbek languages. Summer fellowships support intensive study at a domestic language program or at an overseas institution while academic year fellowships fund students who are undertaking a course of study that combines area studies and language study. The Polish Studies Initiative 2015 Grant and Scholarship Competition
The Polish Studies Initiative would like to announce its 2015 grant and scholarship competition. Scholarships are available for undergraduates and pre-candidacy PhD students to support the study of Polish language and culture through study abroad or summer intensive language programs that will occur in the 2015 May Session or Summer Semester. Awards range from $500-$1,000. Grants are open to post-candidacy PhD students and faculty to support research and curriculum development in the arts, humanities and social sciences that will enhance the understanding of Polish society and culture, including Polish-American culture.
